You’re holding out on me Warden………they won’t sound good, trust me, I know……..you can’t have a tear or break on speaker cones….We have a hydro dam (actually several) here along the New River. This one was built in 1903ish. I talked to the guy that is over the dam and had heard about some old wood used in bearings so I asked about it. I was able to get four blocks of Lignum Vitae that was used as bearing pillow blocks in the plant. These are freakin heavy. They now use phenolic block due to the price. Picture heavy. This stuff cuts easier than I thought it would. It has a distinct scent to it too.
