What free wood did you find today?

Oh, the pain of frustration when you find something you want, but it's too heavy! Skabetti (spaghetti) grain in some oak. It'll, hopefully, be mine at some point in the future!

This poses the question - Is it really free if you can't take it home?

Looks dynamic! Where did you see it that you could not take it home with you? Chuck

Up in southern KY. It was cut first of last year and I've been eyeing it since then. It was up on top of a grade cut that had shot rock put on the slope. This was the first time we've been up there since fall/winter started and somehow it made it to the bottom of the drainage ditch since the last time. It's a spot on the tree that 3 or 4 branches were and is about 3'x3'x3' roughly. I could barely move it, much less carry it up some shot rock out of the ditch. Next time I will try to roll it down the ditch to where it daylights and see if I could somehow lift it into the jeep. As it was, there were vehicles parked at the end of the ditch and my wife had the back of the jeep full of old stuff she had bought.
