I second that. My folks both passed at 97. Right around around 94-95 both of them had a rapid declination of mental function. I don't know what your pop's mental status is but I would highly recommend not missing out on it. SWAT will be there next year. Who knows if Pop will be there physically or mentally. I would wager which event upon will remember.

Heck, they are weeks apart. I don't see why this is even a question.
He'll be 92, and is in guarded health. Has trouble with some short term memory, but doing pretty well. However, he did just get diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. Not something that you can cure and not likely to die from directly, but by catching pneumonia or something like it. Plus my wife just got diagnosed with another very small spot of cancer.

2X trips, I'll have to answer to the brown-haired, doe-eyed wifey like person. Maybe I can hitch a ride with Eric as he drives through.

Go with Eric and explain to your wife afterwards that you were abducted by a crazed game warden.

Oh I found it alright but all I can do is wish. From a small island in Puerto Rico. Mango about 36 inches in D. Definitely Spalted and since I couldn’t find anyone with a chain saw on short notice - it was probably curly. Jim
And you can see those beautiful mangoes that weren’t quite ripe. They say timing is everything

Was it on private land? Do you have a local contact there? Almost seems too good to pass up! Chuck

For lathe tools!!!! Danged, you put us troglodytes to shame - we use Wallyworld bags to store our lathe tools in. Well, except the ones from Ashley Harwood!

I was passing through a neighborhood, and a landscaper was cutting down a Chinese Holly next to someone’s house, and let me have some chunks. Anybody know anything about Chinese Holly? I plan to turn some bowls from it eventually once it dries out.

Don't know anything about it either, but would you post some pictures when you cut up that crotch piece. I've got a couple of walnut ones and if I do it like others (remove the pith) the blank will be real shallow.
