What's in the mail?

Chuck, No doubt after watching a few YouTube videos that about this Milwaukee pole saw (model 3013-21) with a 12AH battery and five year warranty will do great. If you're thinking about getting it then I suggest grabbing it now while it's on sale for 15% off and cheaper than pro gas powered pole saws. It might be a long time before it's that much off again. Bonus, The included high output battery can be used with many other Milwaukee M18 powered tools.

 
Quick review. The Milwaukee Pole saw is extremely easy to put together even if you're like me and don't bother to read any directions. There's only two screws, blade, bar, and battery to install. Add bar oil and it's ready for work

I cut three small trailers load of limbs in under 30 minutes. The saw got very heavy at the end so either either my arms are getting weaker, or Milwaukee puts the heavy in heavy-duty. I'll protect my ego and just say this 13' pole saw probably weighs as much as a professional gas pole saw so no way will I be running this saw until the battery runs completely down.
 
Very nice. I need to get one too. But I'll probably go the ryobi or ego brand since I have batteries for both. I like the millwaukee stuff but I have nothing in that platform. My son in law does and he loves it.

As I am not a professional, I went with the Harbor Freight Bauer version. Nothing in comparison to yours Karl, but for my limited use around our property it is enough. Great find. I bet the big battery helps with the balance.
 
Not exactly in the mail, but a friend gifted me his Lectric electric bike. He upgraded and I benefited big time. Makes up a little for the lost pallet forks on Friday. @woodtickgreg , Greg, I think I want one with more the full sized bike wheels vs these 20” tires.

Both of our bikes have the 20" wheels.
At first we got her one with the 26 inch wheels but it was too big and too heavy for her.
That bike you have is an older version of the lectric brand, no suspension. New bikes have front suspension. My bike has full suspension and the 20" wheels are big enough. My advice is don't get hung up on wheel diameter but look for suspension and or a suspension seat post.
 
A new quill, or axle sleeve and bolt as Rikon calls it. Glad to have this as I was drilling holes today by pushing the whole tail stock.

Old one was turning rough, figured it was just full of dust, blew it out and it felt fine. Was using it later and all of a sudden heard metal scraping. Removed it and turned by hand for a little bit until I started seeing metal dust and pieces of thread. Moral of the story is if your quill starts turning hard, stop immediately and deal with it. Obviously I had been trashing it for a while, and didn't realize it. Lesson learned, and at least it wasn't too expensive a lesson $40 plus shipping. Bonus, they also sent along a new locking lever and index set screw.

Mail call today- a good’un!!
Decided I needed to have another Tailstock Steady- made by none other than Jerry @Nubsnstubs .
Already have one but sometimes have another project going on one of my other lathes. It’s a great help on platters, bigger bowls and vases. The width is easily adjustable.
I’m sure he has others he can part with.

:nodice:…….it’s a good thing I was “lean” on packing tape and supplies. He is going to have it easy………..well, the one package he has to do a little work, but I know he is going to enjoy it!

i've seen similar here at ross dress for less, not quite as nice though. for in the range of $12 to $25

as a kid i might not have minded being paddled so much if the paddle looked like that

Similar, but not the same as this place is no Ross or TJ Maxx. But for you, it will be
