Hello folks...yesterday I was looking for about Pinho de Riga (Pinus sylvestris).
This wood is rare and expensive in Brazil.
This wood came to Brazil when our country was a Portuguese cologne.
They use the wood as weight at caravel...left here and carry back all kind of Brazilian treasure.

The reason of this post are the pictues below.
The way how some people can transform some pieces of wood in a beautiful art is so cool.

Translation:
Pássaros = birds
Galho= branch

The name of woods at link are very common in Brazil:

Freijó
Roxinho
Peroba Rosa
Imbuia

The Pinho de Riga

Emerson, I can't help with any woods that you need, but have liked all your posts as I see someone with a love for woodworking and will do whatever you can to get the job done.
I do have one question after seeing the picture posted below. Why did you make those bandsaw cuts the way you did from the beak down to the feet and up on the back? Please don't take this question as criticism. It's just curiosity.

We can find branches here any place...will be any wood ...fruit wood or what I find...only the birds nice wood to capture the eyes.
About cut my bandsaw now has the 1/2" blade and the minimum radius is 2 1/2".Because I don't want to change for while for 1/4" ( smallest minimum e radius) .I was afraid to reach the line and something be wrong.I made some relief cuts and after when I tried to follow the line again the small wedges go inside and blocked betwen blade and bearings and that PVC pipe.So I stopped that way to make a problem bigger than I need.
At 57 yo I love to read any comment positive or constructive critic because I'll be learning forever and I just start working using bandsaw...a long learning curve to come.The mistake today will be the experience tomorrow.
Thank you for comment.
For everbody...please don't worry in say when I am wrong.

If the wind blows from only one direction the tree will grow up curved.Chinese proverb.
