Seeing your ???? so not sure I made sense. I was talking surface area, not foot print. Spruce Knob in WV is over 5000 feet elevation. The surface area of it is far greater than the footprint. There are lots of moutains in WV and adding up surface area is where I was going. If you had followed, maybe this helped some one else.

I don't think it is as simple as Southern or Northern - must be those pork-eating North Carolinians! BTW - bacon ain't pork - it's bacon!

I love learning sayings that are regional or even local in nature - but have to admit I'm surprised you hadn't heard this one. I'd just assumed it was much more global as I've heard it in different regions. I initially became familiar with it as it was a favorite of my older brother's football coach. Variants of it are in several movies, including 2 Coen brothers movies.

A national poll showed 43% of men prefer bacon over sex. I’m thinking it’s because bacon is easier to get and can be enjoyed in public.
