That is so true. More so in Europe where most people don’t have a truck.

I once saw a small smart (smaller than your US ones) with about 6m long pine beams (two by fours) coming out of the boot. The beams were easily twice as long as the car. At least there were only six. Otherwise the car might have toppled backwards.
