Bandsaw/breaker problems

The centrifugal switch tricks the motor into starting. The switch just disengaged points and capacitor does nothing.
When my 15 " planer needed a start capacitors it did nothing. No noise, flipping breaker, nothing.
The centrifugal switch flipped breaker. Take it off. Look at points. Next are yall old enough ta know what points are??

Yes I know what points are 😆. I love the saw but the CS sucks. Not happy with them. When I get my shop built, I was gonna buy another saw. It won't be a Laguna just due to the CS.

Couple things I'd check- how stiff is the belt? I had a delta table.saw that didn't like the belts getting stiff and would trip out. New belts and problem solved. Also, if its not hardwired did you change how long the cord is or what outlet you're using? Longer cord, more draw. My compressor is really picky if you use lighter/longer cords and or wiring

Ok so....changed both capacitors and nada. Watched the video on the centrifugal switch the other night. Finally got some time this evening. Went out and took the motor apart. Checked the points and they were good. Put the switch back on and adjusted it. While watching the c-switch it would start up, get to speed and then the c-switch would trip and it would slow down. So I adjusted the switch a little, fired it up and we're in business. Thanks all. Only way you learn is to do things. So I'm going to eat and get busy cutting blanks up for SWAT.
