Bandsaw/breaker problems

Ok so....changed both capacitors and nada. Watched the video on the centrifugal switch the other night. Finally got some time this evening. Went out and took the motor apart. Checked the points and they were good. Put the switch back on and adjusted it. While watching the c-switch it would start up, get to speed and then the c-switch would trip and it would slow down. So I adjusted the switch a little, fired it up and we're in business. Thanks all. Only way you learn is to do things. So I'm going to eat and get busy cutting blanks up for SWAT.
So what ya are saying is ya should've listened to the old man. The start and run capacitors i have replaced, it was very obvious the smoke had escaped and there was evidence of where it escaped.
How much for a pot call.

@Mike1950 yea,yea. I should have but I didn't until later. You want a pot call? I'll send ya one on me.

@JonathanH I am. Cut some osage and cherry up. Once I get this cut up, got a bunch of walnut to cut. Then into the walnut, osage and cherry logs. Maybe some Sycamore coming too.

@Mike1950
I have some going to the engraver tomorrow or Friday. As soon as I get them back, I'll get a finish on them and everything glued together and get you one in the mail. Just need one?

Gonna be nice, Eric.

I'm interested in seeing the Sycamore. Will you have any peppermill sized little sticks?

Of the Sycamore? I can cut some. Just cut some 3×3 & 4×4 cherry and osage

It could be a bad start capacitor on the motor. If the motor runs without load but trips the breaker under load, that’s a common culprit. Worth testing or replacing the capacitor.

Read the whole thread, he fixed it. It was the centrifugal switch.

Wow, from an admin. Bad day Greg? Did he do something wrong?
No, I didn't mean to sound harsh. I was only trying to point out that it was repaired and just the switch.

Whatever Greg, I found it very refreshing and humorous. Guess it reminded me of Kevin.... and in some ways Paul, and even Mike. It depends how we read it. I used Kevin inflections when I read it.

I agree Mark! That’s why nobody cares about your web site :sofa: Kevin had dignity.

Hey Eric, glad to hear positive outcomes on the repair. What is adjustment on the cent switch.
