A discussion about this started in the Black Walnut Crotch thread I posted earlier this week. I am moving that discussion into its own thread (here) so others can easily participate and not have to go to an ended thread and search for it.

He and I are making a deal on the 28" long chestnut board but I do have other boards and other woods that should make great turkey box calls. You will see them starting today. The three photos shown below are of Sitka spruce. It is quarter-sawn and it is well known for it's tonal qualities in acoustic guitars.
The price for these two boards is $18 plus shipping from 19350.
