16/4 x 52 x 16...................this piece is gorgeous.

Now I just have to wait until my SO decides what she wants to use it for. I see a coffee table in the living room (as if I really have any say about it )

You have no idea what that would mean to me Jimmy. I felled the tree that flitch came from. I hauled it to the trailer, I drove it to my mill. I milled it. I sealed it. I stickered it in my special lean-to. I saved it for myself. I decided I cannot continue to buy oats if I continue to hoard wood. I took care of it like it was my baby. I did not sell it lightly, yet you're telling me it could end up as a piece of furniture in your home? This could justify why I hoarded it in the first place. Now I don't feel so bad for letting it go.

Now that I've shut my jig site down for the summer maybe I can start getting caught up on honey-do's and woodaholic-do's. Many of you woodaholics have been asking about wood so I'm going through my flitch bin and taking out some stuff I saved for myself. I have several hundred pieces in there. About half are thick flitches and the rest are everything from 4/4 boards to oblong clock rounds. Mostly flitches and boards though. Oh but I did stumble across a few long thick stuff that crosscut would make excellent bowl blanks. None of this is green. A lot of it is EMC.

I'll start uploading some pics later this evening and I'll probably add a few each day or so. I'll probably start new threads for each 3 to 5 pieces. I just wanted to see if there's any interest in flitches from you wood concubines. :no dice. more please:

Very nice looking wood. I would like to try a few walking sticks and a big bowl out of your flame box elder. What would the cost be for 2”x2” more or less 5 foot long, for 5 or 10 pieces. Wane and knots are fine, warp is a problem. I’m in Seabrook, between Houston and Galveston, 77586 zipcode. For a bowl blank I like big half rounds. I could take several depending on total cost. FYI I work on and off to pay for fun things so my E-mail responses may be slow during the work week.
