@Ray D My usual response is flying on a packed airplane is worse to me. But the whole experience is near indescribable. We should have a masters in naval construction, an unlimited mariner's license and many other certs - we learned every valve, breaker, switch and drop of fluid, the functional drawing and how to find it in the dark (within six months). There's 20 firehoses, 44 alarm stations, etc etc etc. A constant question is "you walk into a compartment and everyone is dead - what are your immediate actions." Then you add in (pre-internet) deployments of between 10 days and 10 months, 12-18+ hour days in a steel pipe with 180 other 2nd sons, loners and non-conformists.Subvet10… hats off to you submarine veterans. Don’t know how you do it. My place of business builds level 1 sub safe products for Electric Boat.

Fun ride down memory lane looking at some of the old posts and photos.
Tony, has Paxton tried using that axe on any wood yet? And, it's easy to sharpen. ............ NubsView attachment 292114

That was a good visit. I didn't "feel" like I was just welcomed there, but felt more like I was part of the family. Lulu was the highlight though. She made me wish I had a daughter.View attachment 292114

Yes sir. You were family for sure. We enjoyed you and you are always welcome. Paxton did enjoy Yellowstone for sure. Stop by any time buddyThat was a good visit. The purpose of my visit was to give Paxton a lesson in flintknapping, but he vanished about an hour after I arrived. Something about going to that gaseous hole called Yellowstone. I hope he enjoyed the trip with the grandparents. I went through there once and wished I had a gas mask a couple times. Thank for having me visit, Tony. .......... Nubs
