I only use a power sander to remove band saw marks when resawing boards.
I do check my fence alinement regularly.
Most of the time I use my cross cut sleds. One for ninety degrees and one for 45 degrees. I will check those today.
 
Check accuracy of the sleds too. Cut and flip one side. It should be perfectly straight for a ninety. A 45 should make a perfect 90 and use a square to check it.
 
Here is another small box.
It is 4 3/4 “ long x 3 5/8” wide x 1 / 1/2“ tall
I believe the body is maple and the lid is the unknown wood.
I made this box while checking the table saw to blade. I also checked the 90 and 45 sleds. All are dialed in. IMG_3237.webp IMG_3238.webp IMG_3239.webp

The miters are much better. Though, some of your wood seems to be chipped. It seems you need cleaner and clearer pieces of wood. I do think that your main area of improvement should be the hinges. Try out some new ones. These ones look slightly bent and blocky.

Lovely box with greatly improved miters.
