Almost have to have a few too many to read it!
Trial assembly, need to drill a few more holes, then final sanding and a finish.

I found a couple plans with dimensions, but like we do.....added a bit.

One thing I was thinking about would be to make some decorative cutouts on the sides - couple of sequentially smaller circles or a heart or diamond shape. That would break up the large walnut sides a little.Thanks!

Took a slight detour from wood working last couple days. A buddy asked me to make a 5wt fly rod for his wife for an upcoming trip they've scheduled. All ready to epoxy later this week when it's a little warmer.
When I showed her photos of different designs.....she didn't really care for ones with cutouts.
But....yes, it might have helped minimize the looks.

It only looks large because it's sitting in the middle of the shop. Once you get it finished and in place with a quilt or two hanging, it will look perfect.
I just noticed you have sculptured carpeting in your shop. Fancy!

Certainly makes it easier on feet n legs, and a little insulation from cold concrete in winter.

Applied first coat of wipe on poly to the lower section of the hall table. Liking how the ambrosia stain colors up.
I broke down a White Oak pallet and baked a trio of burly Oak chunks that I forgot I left in the vac. chamber soaking in Cactus Juice.
Neighbor finished her pen set today.
Put 1st coat of finish on one side of end pieces for the quilt rack. Cross pcs all done.

And.....what pen kit is that? I'd like to try some with just one piece.
