What did you do in your shop today?

Getting paxton more involved in the shop. We went fishing in Michigan with cliff last year and started some resin casting after all these years. Last month I pulled out my 10 year old chamber and now we are starting to stabilized the 10,000 raw pen blanks I have. This was our second batch. First successful batch. Son is enjoying it.

Today I finally completed all the work I needed to do on the vehicles. So after getting my vehicle out of the garage, it was time to start putting the shop back in order. I started moving stuff back and made some decent progress. As I move some of the shorter boards back onto the shelves, I'm sorting - burn pile, put back on the shelf, or make cutting boards with. I'm going to make a handful of cutting boards once the shop is back together to use up some of the shorter boards that I have just accumulated too many of.
Matt, I enjoyed making (and will make more) the smaller cheese cutting boards with the wire cutter. had a few boards long enough to put together and then cut to length. Just throwing out the idea given the description of your scraps.

Cliff, a former member here?

He was. A very talented turner. But Kevin and him had a disagreement of some kind and he quit participating here. I don't think he was banned. Just differences of opinions as far as I know. That was a long time ago.

That's a good idea too!

Unfortunately the budget my wife has agreed to allocate to me for projects right now is $0.00. :sarcastic: She says I've spent enough recently on car parts, tools, and tires. Like I bought all those things because they were for fun! :lol2:

The cliff I was speaking off was known as wuudntu or something like that. And I think he lived on the west side of the state.

I assisted him at a turning demo in Milwaukee and sold him some wood. Excellent turner!
Cliff did some cool stuff with a router jig to make unique teapots. Chatted with him at a symposium where he was demoing techniques for his teapots.
