Looking forward to finished piece!
I don't believe I ever turned tamarind yet. Would like to try some also.

Very unique! Love it!Got this bedside lamp 97% done - still need to put the trim pieces on the shade. The lamp is mahogany, cholla ( @Nubsnstubs ) and sapele. Finished with wipe on poly. I opted to put a simple on/off switch in the cord rather than having to reach up beneath the shade.

Here's a shot with the unfinished shade - banana for scale.

Ripening for banana bread in a few days.Beautiful banana - nice and plump!![]()
Very worthwhile project. Not seen anyone make one before. ChuckMy HVAC bud dropped by and left me with a blower. I started on the enclosure to make an hanging air scrubber. It’s a 4 speed motor so it will be interesting to see what speed I end up using.
Each side will have a 4” pleated MERV11 filter. So far I’m into this project for about 60 bucks. 50 for the filters and 10 for a 4 position switch. The rest comes from the scrap pile and junk box.

The painted HFs are just delightful! Cherry bowls are quite the pair! Love them all! ChuckFinally finished this trio of Jo Sonja painted hollow forms with several coats of spray lacquer.

And these cherry bowls. These were cored 18/24 months ago with @Steve in VA. 16” and 12”. There was a third small one but it cracked and could not save it.
