At the Boy Scouts Haunted House we used to have two chainsaw operators that would duel like that, but without all the safety equipment. Of course there were no chains, but they guys occasionally get a little enthusiastic and created some sparks with bars colliding.
Found out that they made a chain with no teeth so you can make them spark like crazy against a metal plate. Debated it for a while and decided against them as the building was a 100+ year old wooden school with three stories and a gym on the top floor.
