Legs are simple. And versatile, lots of shapes. I like boxes that sit off the ground. Those are beautiful! Kind of a rustic look and I love the legs.
That has to be the most spectacular inside surface of a box lid I have ever seen! Here is todays box. It is made from quilted maple and tiger stripe maple,
. Hinges are from Brusso and self stop at 85 degrees. the finish is a french polish shellac.

Thank youThat has to be the most spectacular inside surface of a box lid I have ever seen!
That lid is gorgeous. When I first saw it I was thinking some kind of ebony. I guess the lighting helped with that.I am back after spending about two weeks in Kona.
So here is todays box. This on has been hanging around for quite awhile. I believe this is a maple body with a spalted Maple top panel.

Love your boxes! Keep them coming!Todays box style is one that was very popular. I have made quite a few of them using yellow heart. This time I used Holly for the body and bloodwood for the heart. The issue I had with this one was the Holly greyed out a bit.View attachment 288010View attachment 288014

Thanks for asking for more. For the darker side of boxes; I have one like that has an ebony heart. I just can't find any pictures of it.Todays box style is one that was very popular. So...you say Spanish but I see Scotish...... Either way, European beech.I stand corrected. That top panel is Spalted Spanish Beach. The inside trim is ebony. View attachment 287992
We shall add you to the wood after hall of fame once we get round to making it. Those are so good.I just finished this Holly and Walnut box.
The top tray lifts out and the bottom dividers are permanent. I didn’t add liner to the box as I wanted to show the beauty of the woods.
it is 9.75”x7”x3” tall overall. View attachment 288104View attachment 288105View attachment 288106
We all see things in our own work that others can’t see. I think that some of your boxes certainly deserve the title. Some won’t but some will.Thank you but you are looking at a picture. If it was in your hands; you might think differently. I can see three issues on that box from the picture that make it a nice looking box but no hall of fame.
