What did you do in your shop today?

Projects…..like drywall and insulation. Yep, broken record. But some more unpacking and such. Working on this trailer as well. Setting it up for camping and kayak hauling.

Bench needed shortening just a bit. …….

Oh, besides replacing a board in the trailer I forgot that I had a new tube put into the front tire of the 650. Just didn’t have time to do it myself but should have.

This bench was stored at my buddies barn. Actually one of the few things I saw mouse infested after sitting out there for a year. Thankfully no mouse still in there. I hate cleaning that stuff.

Much harder to tape and mud the drywall once all stuff is in the way. I’m in the middle of this myself wishing I had finished the drywall and insulation soon after getting my 30x30 garage built but the money just wasn’t there. A drywall lift and collated drywall screw gun have been the biggest help installing those heavy 12 foot sheets of drywall on the ceiling.

Looks like the motorcycle Is a dual sport which is my favorite type. Do you find the 650 a bit heavy on some trails?

Yep, a real pain. It gets tired so easily and just wants to lay down Karl. I need to back off the trails and stick with 2 track at minimum if not forest service roads. Just don‘t have the skills and strength right now. But I do love it, it acts like a tractor in a lot of situations.

Did some shop cleaning so i could get to my motorcycle lift table. Need to do an oil change on the Wing before I take off next saturday for my business trip. Before and after pictures. The hail came or I would have had the oil changed. But am whipped, our morning started a bit early in Boston.

Club challenge this month is to turn a platter. Friend Jerry gave me this ambrosia maple. Glued on a tenon this morning and will work on it as time permits. Probably won’t make it to the meeting so will have someone take it for me.

Roughing a cherry blank today and found hidden bug holes, filled them and called it a day to let the repairs dry before the final shaping.

Oh look, Sawdust. Somebody does use that lathe after all. Here and I thought it was his display lathe for showing his pieces... :sofa:
Frank, my reaction was in the same boat as yours last night when I first saw the last picture, I busted out laughing, loudly proclaiming, "YeeHaw, Whoopee. Finally, a dirty floor and lathe".

Sorry, @Jonkou , don't take it anyway but in jest in a loving manner. ........... Jerry (in Tucson)

No offense taken. Moved into this brand new house in 09 and built the shop myself as a retirement present. It‘s exactly how I want it and take care of it like I do everything else that’s important to me.
