What did you do in your shop today?

Very interesting cutting boards. If anyone can find a pattern in there, the cryptography branch of Homeland Security would like to have a chat with you.

There actually is one, Doug but I’ve done my best to hide it. That’s why 3 different boards. With 4 woulda be even more random.

Last day I'm gonna be able to do anything before I start the wonderful colonoscopy prep 🤢
So gonna get the trailer empty. My Sgt had a walnut come down in the storm and said I could have it. Well okay. Not very big but anywho.
Pic of the walnut and what I've cut so far. Taking a break before I finish cutting into pieces and then throw onto the bandsaw

Congrats on the Walnut! Best of luck on the Colonoscopy! Had my last in January -- good for another 10 years! Chuck

This is all I did in the shop after work today. I carried 10 parts boxes down into the shop for an upcoming build that's been whirling around in my head. I'm not sure if this is going to be enough but it's a start.

Where's the wheels? You need wheels to add that extra set of wheels on your bike.

All I did was sand the bridge for guitar #3.

I cut up a 4" x 4" piece of stabilized redwood burl I traded Stan ( @The100road ) a fly box for so I can make a reel seat insert or two. Then since I had the table saw out I also cut up a 4" x 4" block of spalted maple into reel seat blanks and a piece of olive into reel seat blanks. Those need to be stabilized but the cutting part is done. Then, since I still had the table saw out, I decided to cut the remaining piece of feathered walnut board I had into box thins. Had to square up the edge, then cut it into two 4" x 8" boards. Then moved the rip fence in to 3/8", raised the blade to just under 2" and ripped the boards into 3/8" flats. Finished cutting them apart with a hand saw. The heat off that black driveway got to me so I put the saw away. Hand planed the remaining saw kerf on the walnut box flats and decided it was happy hour. For today being National Lazy Day (go ahead, look it up) that sure seems like a lot of work. But now I have raw material for a few bench top scale projects and don't need to get the saw out again for awhile.
