What did you do in your shop today?

After chopping mortices I decided to correct the angles on my morticing chisels
I tapped some 80 grit cloth paper to my table saw top.

And I came up with this. The secondary level should have been shorter.

Im still working on it but I'm up to 320 grit now.

It's not done but its sharp enough to cut my finger.

The new jig works far better than the old one.

Lots of wall space between the hoses, room for cabinets, shelving, hanging panels....?

You'll have to give us a 360° view when you get it all together, its a great looking space
Not sure yet what will go on the walls. I know I don’t want a lot of open shelves so I suspect I’ll be building cabinets after I get the base cabinets built.

Well, that’s almost right. A TV made it on one wall….

It’s an Oneida V3000. Free fan CFM is 2,940. Real CFM is 1,349 @ 2.3” WC. Aside from avoiding sharp turns in ductwork, leaks are a killer. That’s why I’ll be doing a smoke test on all fittings.

When you look at specs, DC’s list free flow as the CFM. For example, I have a Shop Fox 1.5hp that the specs are 1,280 CFM. The real number is the air volume it can move under suction which is a lot less than advertised

Yes, I've got something like your Shop Fox. Envisioned drops to every machine. Haha silly me.

Did the smoke test. Pleasantly surprised how little smoke was pulled on those adjustable connections.
