    Figured hard maple log

I had an amazing day milling this hard maple log. I didn't have a clue what was inside of this log until the first cut. My photos don't due it justice, quilt, curl and some burl.🤯 17" wide boards and lots of smaller ones. The figure went almost to the pith. Only sad thing is it's not mine!

    Help with guitar wood IDing

Hi all, apologies if this is entirely the wrong forum for this, but I figured there might be some expert opinions to gather here. I have aqcuired an old acoustic guitar from the 60s, and have very little info on the wood used, apart from the top being spruce. The back and sides are presumably...

    Ambrosia Maple Matching tables

I’ve been hanging onto these 4 slabs for years, collecting dust. I wanted to ensure I had enough time to do exactly what I wanted to do with them, no compromising. Coronavirus gave me that time. Pics attached. Full video below.

    ENDED** Sugar Maple from Wisconsin

Howdy! I'm looking for a small piece of sugar maple grown in Wisconsin. I'd prefer 8/4 4'' x 12''-ish, but 4/4 8'' X 12'' ish would work too. No figuring needed. It's for a wedding gift for a couple that met in La Crosse. They both love the outdoors and maple syrup, so it's the perfect wood. Any...

NEW PRICE Huge Maple Burl Cap, Kiln Dried

This Maple Burl Cap measures 22 inches by 17 inches at its longest, and 5 inches at its tallest. It's been fully kiln dried. The figure on the outside is really beautiful, the bottom is rough sawn so it's difficult to see, but it's beautiful as well. Would like $105, plus $30 for shipping...

Chocolate Ambrosia Maple w/ Nokon Blue inlay

Understated designs done right usually have the biggest impact! Chocolate Ambrosia Maple, striking blue inlay with hints of metallic white running through it. Reverse side is treated as well so you never have to carve up the face of this beauty! Christmas is approaching quickly, but you still...

ENDED - Hard Maple - Gray in color

Howdy! I once came across some big leaf maple turning blanks that were as gray as cement. Unfortunately they were already in someone else's shopping cart so I missed out. The guy buying them said that the heart of big leaf, rock, sugar, maple often forms a gray color, but I can't seem to track...

The thickness is written on each of them, in a circle, in millimeters from 34mm(1 1/3") to 50mm(2"). Also there is a...

3 Girls and the Damage Done.

Here's my latest piece that I finished, I actually started this long ago but didn't complete it due to it kept splitting. I filled some with epoxy and started dyeing the wood and liked how it was looking and didn't want to fill all the splits and sand it down re-dye it so I said F*#K it I'm...

    **ɛռɖɛɖ** Great Turning Wood

This is a box of very nice wood for bowls and other turnings. The photos below give all the sizes. The cherry is from central Pennsylvania which is the home of the best wild cherry (IMHO). Very few, if any, gum streaks appear in wood from this area. It was air-dried in a barn for 20 years and...

Quilted Maple + Dye + Skull = Awesome

I had carved a skull out of Spalted Maple that was sitting on the shelf waiting to be part of a project when I started working this Maple I thought it would be a good fit. The Maple had nice quilting I had purchased it over 10 years ago and got a good deal because the figure didn't go across the...
