The chipper might make neighbors nervous…….You missed an opportunity to get some exercise and have some fun - I'd have used an ax. Makes the neighbors nervous too.

I've been reluctant to run my chipper for that same reason. The last time I used it much, there wasn't a house in what used to be the backyard of the house next door. Next door is some youngish, skinny jean wearing, NJ yankee and potty-mouthed wife that are pretty anal-retantive. The ones in the house in the "backyard" are also pretty young, doing well enough to afford a 2 mil house. She is some kind of entertainer from Canada, he sells software, but haven't had any real contact with them, so have not been able to evaluate them yet. Seem more grounded though. I used to run an electric, plastic bucketed concrete mixer in my backyard (which would now be just under their dining and bedroom windows) tumbling colored glass to make fake sea glass. But that was 10 years ago, when people weren't so uptight and got away with it. But anything sea glass ain't selling anymore, so I got rid of concrete/mortar mixer and they don't have to worry about it.The chipper might make neighbors nervous…….
I know the feeling I don't unload 30 round mags with black rifles more than a few times a year anymore.I've been reluctant to run my chipper for that same reason. Hell, I can't even legally practice with a bow and arrow, or slingshot in my backyard anymore. Might have even outlawed throwing knives and darts by now!I know the feeling I don't unload a 30 round mags with black rifles more than a few times a year anymore.![]()
Fortunately the sound of backyard target and varmint shooting is still rather common around here. I have a safe area to shoot but usually go to the field and stream club range.Hell, I can't even legally practice with a bow and arrow, or slingshot in my backyard anymore.
