Prayers Jon. Okay, we don’t need a third, things don’t have to come in 3’s.
Pray your wife's surgery went well. That is a good reasoning on those stent coatings. My wife just said, "But we won't know for ten years, if ever."Be praying for you. My wife is headed in for double , tomorrow morning. Also a stent / restenosis issue. Possibly scar tissue, possible plaque. Wonder if we are witnessing a change in the coatings they are using on the stents? Sometimes the only way we know when they change stuff in the construction field is when it quits working the way it used to....
Praying for renewed strength and energy! Guess hospital food wasn’t that good! ChuckWell, I was supposed to have a triple by-pass on Wednesday. Once they got started, they decided heart wasn't strong enough to do it... Then I crashed... an hour or so later, I had 3 stents. I am now home. Seems as though I have confounded at least 5 doctors. But my 'now' doctor decided I should go home today. Good or bad news: during my seven-day stay at the hospital, I lost 27 pounds.
and a new gas caap.
I also aquired a new black dash and storage box assembly off a newer 2012 bike. It has better doors and latches. The original one will be eventually sold.
Yeah I was afraid I would find mice damage but luckily none found. Just idiot previous owner damage. That's ok, it's all getting fixed.Add on lights and add on stereos account for 90 percent of the wiring problems I have encountered. I bet rats and squirrels account for 90 percent of overall wiring issues in vehicles since they started using soy oils to make wire coatings
Love House of Kolor paints. Too many choices though…….I finished the repair on the broken plastic piece. I built up a pretty good a.ount of jb weld for plastic on it. Now it feels more solid than it was originally.View attachment 289141View attachment 289142View attachment 289144View attachment 289145
Body parts for this scooter are mostly not available anymore. You either search for used or look to the Chinese aftermarket.

The new front fairing is a chinese reproduction, it came painted black. It will get sanded, filled, and painted with the rest of the parts.

I chose house of color cobalt blue. It should be a darker blue with a fine flake.

I dropped all the parts off to a painter today. I dont have a space to paint them or the equipment, or the skills for that matter. So I'm better off to let someone else with more experience shoot the parts
I kept it simple by going with a basic dump and shoot paint. I had it narrowed down to 2 colors of blue. I chose the darker of the 2.Love House of Kolor paints. Too many choices though…….
Great job. And so true, with all the body work off do everything you can. How about hoses and antifreeze? Just thinking of my Wing……. I think you mentioned you had done brake fluid. …… And what a cool project. Wish I were there to help. Love doing projects like this with friends. Been too many years since I did something like this.Today was another work on the scooter maintenance day. I started with changing the plugs, much easier to do with all the body panels off.
I put much better ngk iridium plugs in it.
it had densos in it. They are correct for the bike but so are the ngks and I believe they are a better plug. It looks like it's been running a little rich. The new air filter might help with that.

Next I moved onto the belt and variator maintenance. It wasn't to bad inside as far as dirt and dust goes. A little belt dust.

This is what makes it go, lol. Not to dirty but it was not an oem belt and thats probably why it was making some noise on take off.

Im installing new variator weights, a few grams lighter, that should give a little better acceleration and smooth it out a bit. Not that it lacked in those areas.

I went from rollers to sliders. I also changed the final drive oil.

I got some new chinesium belly panels, body parts are scarce for this bike now. These are a tually very nice and fit perfectly, painted the original color too. They replaced my broken ones.

Lots of plastic went back on today.

The only real things I have to do yet as far as maintenance goes is flush the brake fluid and change the tires. Just waiting on the body panels to come back from paint now. So I'm making good progress.
I changed the coolant a couplemof days ago. Hoses still look and feel good, no leaks either. I still have to do the brake fluid flush yet.Great job. And so true, with all the body work off do everything you can. How about hoses and antifreeze? Just thinking of my Wing……. I think you mentioned you had done brake fluid. …… And what a cool project.
